The risks associated with the use of AI include data privacy issues because AI systems often require access to large amounts of personal data. If not well secured, sensitive information could be exploited. It also risks the continuation of biases as based on data it learns.
If such data is biased, then so are the decisions made by the AI. It could also lead to displacement of jobs, for example in manufacturing and customer service, which may lead to an increase in unemployment.
It does mean there are ethics issues related to surveillance, or more directly to arms, on matters not so long ago associated behind them, that have to do with accountability and transparency.
