The AI can be programmed for ethical guidelines, but it cannot make a judgment in the way human beings do. Ethical judgments have to do with complex feelings, societal norms, and values that do not exist within AI.
For example, ethical considerations may include training an AI system to understand fairness and discrimination and, thereby ensuring no discriminatory approach in making choices.
AI can depend only on its programmed set of rules or algorithms in formulating choices; whereas human ethics or judgments sometimes need solutions through other ethical judgments involving the ability of a person. It only implies that more intervention by man is still necessary.
